Al Shindagha is a neighbourhood in the traditional centre of the city of Dubai. Located adjacent to the Shindagha tunnel, it is bordered by the locality of Bur Dubai in the south and Port Rashid on the west. The old structures such as the residence of the then ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, have been converted into museums. It is dense, with low rise structures built in the traditional style. Along with museums, the waterfront is lined with restaurants and sheesha joints. It may not be one of the most popular sightseeing or hangout spots in Dubai, but definitely is one of the spots that packs in most of its culture.
